Offically Late for Class!

Wow, what a weekend. It’s hard to believe we fit in as much as we do but we there’s definitely no down time on our weekends. Friday night is our night to chill, we went to Costco, had some Hot Dogs and did a little bit of grocery shopping followed by more grocery shopping at Sobeys. Then we came home and watched a downloaded episode of Survivor and went to bed pretty early. Saturday we got to sleep in and do things around the house before going to Niagara Falls. I had to document the entire weekend with 13 pictures for my photography class, so I was taking pictures of us leaving the house and signs on the road to Niagara Falls, things we did the entire weekend and then the drive home.

So Saturday night we had a belated Thanksgiving dinner with my dad, since last week he was home in the hospital. It was so delicious! It was amazing to see dad recovering, he still has a long road ahead but he is doing awesome. We definitely had a lot to be thankful for, the doctors continue to be in awe that he lived and it truly is a miracle. To appease the family I saw: Couples Retreat: again, Saturday night even though I saw it the previous week but it was still good the second time around. They all really loved it.
Sunday was great, we watch this DVD about the bible and finances, it included 5 steps that the bible tells us to follow to lead a life of financial success. After that was Rochelle’s baby shower which totally rocked, she was really fortunate, people gave for a new comfy chair and other cute baby stuff. The cake was shaped like a pregnant stomach, it was so cute!

After that was over, Kyle and I scooted over the bridge to the States to pick up a few essentials at Target: Kit Kat, Reece’s cups, Hershey Bars, (all the little kind) Gatorade, sparkling water, Fuze juice, Arizona Ice tea and Diet ginger ale( As you can see when you come to our house you get a wide selection of refreshments to chose from) we already had a case of Dasni water left so that wasn’t needed! We also got the 100 calorie mini cupcakes which I love and 60 calorie packs of Swedish fish
(one of which I already ate on the bus this morning) ANWAY Oh yeah, I also picked up Seasons 1 &2 of Greys Anatomy at Target for my parents to watch when they have down time while dad is recovering. It’s a great show.
After all that we drove home and picked a pita from Pita Pit up for me and Kyle called ahead to order his spicy chicken from the Japanese restaurant in downtown Burlington. The funny thing about that is, when he calls he doesn’t have to say anything the lady who owns the store knows him well. Literally this is how the conversation went:

Kyle: Hi
Lady: Kyle, You want some spicy Chicken?
Kyle: Yep
Lady “Okay we’ll get it ready for you.”
It’s just so funny because she must have caller display but she knows him by name and exactly what he wants every time. It’s hilarious. Whenever Kyle is thinking about what he wants to eat, if we’re eating out he always sheepishly says I know what I want. (And I know exactly what he’s talking about!)
Anyways, class is about to start so I need to get going,
I can’t wait to get home, I found this old movie from 1987 with Kevin Bacon in it called “White Water Summer” I’m going to watch it when I get home, it sounds like my kind of movie. One of those hidden gems!
