Christmas Holidays..Here I am!

Wow, I don’t think I have been this happy since the summer when Kyle and I went to Ottawa for our Anniversary and then to see U2 in the fall! I am officially on my Christmas Holidays. This is day one of 3 weeks of pure bliss! Off to the right is a picture of the gifts I got from Rochelle, so exciting, the faical cleanser smells like Pineapple! and the CD is one of the ones I'm collecting from my Fruits and Passion days. What else is there to say about "Grey's Anatomy" other than it rocks!

This is truly my last big break as when I am finished school next semester the pressure of finding a job will not make for any relaxing time off. Yesterday was a whirlwind. It was a jam packed day with exciting things. To kick Sunday off Kyle and I were part of the worship team singing during our Christmas service. Andrew had his hands full with tons of production aligning and leading too. The service was full of singing, drama’s, multi media clips and special songs but the highlight for Kyle and I was of course the song we sang as a duet together, It’s called “Winter Snow”. We did a pretty good job but messed up the timing in one part of the song, gratefully, no one but us seemed to notice.

Watch this clip of how the professional sang it…if Mountain Park puts it up I will send the link to us actually singing it but because Kyle and I were occupied no one was there to record it.

My dad has bronchitis, which is totally a misfortunate because he has been going through so much since his near death heart attack and now to be sick again and miss out on the family fun is terrible. Andrew and Rochelle are going away for Christmas so yesterday was our only time together to celebrate and since baby ELI, can’t get sick we had to leave my dad home and go out to a restaurant to exchange our gifts and spend time together. It was still a lot of fun but not the same by any means! Hopefully dad will be feeling better in a week for Christmas because he deserves to feel better and enjoy his time with family.

This picture on the right is all of our presents wrapped and under the tree...apparently Kyle has 2 more for me, which is just Awesome!

I am kind of doing the weekend in reverse now so backing up to Saturday….Mom and I had a relaxing day we finished up some grocery shopping at Costco and watched a couple of movies “Inglorious Bastards, and UP” We really wanted to see “Up” because It’s Zack’s favourite movie right now. It was so cute and funny but a pretty deep story…I think that makes Zack pretty sophisticated for his age. Speaking of movies I want to see the new animated Disney movie “The Princess and the Frog” there are also many more movies to see. My mom and I each bought Cineplex gift certificates from Costco we can go twice over the holidays. “It’s Complicated”, “Twilight”, “Family Matters”, “Inviticus”, “Avatar” which I will probably see with Kyle, and coming out soon is “The Lovely Bones”….SO there is a lot to see! Moving backwards some more, My Aunt Pam and Uncle Zeke, my mom and I all went to see “Have you met the Morgan’s” on Friday night. It was such an awesome movie! Everyone must go see it… It was awesome to see Sarah Jessica Parker again, she is so enduring and paired up with Hugh Grant was a perfect match. It’s definitely worth seeing over the holidays.

Now the best day of all because it was such a huge relief to be finished was Friday. My last day of school, WOW I never thought this day would come but it did! Now I had a test that I had to go to school at 8am to study for beforehand but the test only lasted an hour and I was out of there! I am just so relived and excited to be finishing this semester. I am not so excited to be starting a career in the industry next year, the very thought of it makes me nervous and scared out of my wits but maybe it won’t be as bad as I think it will. I couldn’t wait when I finished my test to get the fun times rolling so I hoped on a GO bus and got my mom to pick me up in the afternoon in the Falls. We did a little Christmas Shopping and wrapping before the movies that night, meanwhile Kyle helped Rochelle do a little shopping of her own. She wasn’t able to get out and do anything with Eli so Kyle took care of Eli while she shopped in the states, they had a good time I think but Kyle and I have been taking notes; there is a lot that goes into caring for a baby! A lot that one day we will be ready for but not quite yet! Well time to fast forward to today, It’s just me home alone…no job, no school …a beautiful decorated tree and lights…box sets to watch and tons of free time. Doesn’t sound too bad does it?

I am watching Veronica Mars right now, season 1 and I am going to wrap this up before watching Season 1 of True Blood. I have 2 seasons of that to watch and I have only gotten through a couple of episodes so hopefully if I like it I will have lots to watch and enjoy. I am just so excited for the week, it’s going to be so much fun just being off from school and doing fun things with Kyle and the rest of the family.
Well it’s only 8:30am…I think I’m off to a good start in maximizing my vacation accomplishments!
