Internship Interview Monday

Okay...So yesterday was like INCREDIBLE! Totally AWESOME...SWEET...COOL and AMAZING..to put it lightly! I woke up at the crack of dawn to go with Kyle to Toronto.

Before I start on my big internship interview day...notice the red nails! (LOOK DOWN...WAY DOWN!) Haha!! So funny. I was supposed to get my nails done by a professional on Sunday but by the time we got back to Burlington everything was closed. SO my challenge seeker husband Kyle ( Bless His Soul!) told me HE would paint them! He carried on about how it's crazy to spend money getting your nails done every month when you can do it yourself.
HA..I am laughing so much right now because literally...We started painting the nails ..I don't know around 10 at night and didn't finish until like midnight AND in the end we had to change colours 3 times because it wasn't working out and there was polish all over the sides of my nails and fingers...Kyle kept trying to clean it up and in the end you can see that they passed at a distance but BOY was that FUNNY! I think Kyle will be willing to send me to the salon next time without ANY hesitation! LOL. ( I don't normally use those geeky typing lingo terms but today it is necessary!)

MOVING ON..
So we had yesterday down to a science! I had brought along my entire interview outfit and went with Kyle early to work..Sat around on some comfy couches until everyone started showing up around 9:30 then I was kicked out as teams were meeting to talk where I was sitting. I was able to change at one of the near by offices and went off to my Interview (without any wrinkles in my outfit I might ad!)

The Interview was out of this world. I had written down probably too many questions. Mike, the guy interviewing me commented that he didn't expect so many questions! I don't know if that's a good or bad thing but non the less they happened.

I was really impressed by this agency. They sponsor a lot of great foundations to help teens and wouldn't you know it ..MS. He told me they sponsored MS so we got talking about my MS and it opened up this crazy conversation. He let me know that before this he was a music producer which led to more conversations about being in the inner circle at U2 and the up coming show as well as seeing Third Eye Blind next month and taking pictures and maybe blogging about it for Net Fuel.

The blog that I would be working on if I got the internship is new...I would be starting it, it doesn't exist. SO right there are endless possibilities. I got a lot of understanding as to what it should be about. He would like it to be about the community as well as tutorials on web design and advertising to help young teens build their skills. He really emphasised that it should be motivational and inspirational.
I would be working with a web designer and blogging and writing articles about both the client and Net Fuel. Anyway it's a lot to take in. The agency is in one room. It's like a computer lab with 2 rows of computers and all of the people working on them looked like kids! I thought they were all students! It was an incredible chat and Mike told me he had someone else he was interviewing on Wednesday but he would let me know by Thursday what the outcome was..So let's hold our fingers! I am really excited about this. Because there is nothing in place right now I feel like the sky is the limit and I can really run with this and see it succeed.

You know I will keep you posted!

After that was done, Kyle and I went out for lunch to the Firkin where he goes often with his CO Workers ( I was the lucky guest of honour yesterday!) When we were done there he dropped me off downtown at the theater where I saw "The King's Speech" which was an Incredible movie! I loved it. The theater was dead empty though..there were only 2 other guys in there with me...both by themselves. I was chatting with the guy behind me, he was visiting from Chicago with some friends at York University. Anyways. After that I spent an hour at a nearby Winners...bought some Jelly Belly tubes and went home with Kyle. It was a long day! AND it didn't end there. I stayed up until 4:30 AM looking for downtown Toronto places to rent. If I get this internship we are definitely moving!

Phhheewwww Okay....that is it!
