I WILL have Success..

Well Thanksgiving was awesome and the food was delicious! It was a wake up call afterwards when getting on the scale! 

One of the best habits I have acquired in the last few years is not letting too much time go by before stepping on the scale to get sometimes a harsh reality check. In the past I remember being completely shocked after gaining 40 lbs. You would think a person could recognize and see this happening but somehow i managed to be blissfully unaware!

My mom has been doing Weight Watchers and I really admired her diligence and after watching her do this over the weekend it seemed like a good program to step into. I have only been doing it since Monday so a little over 4 days..barley lost 1 lb yet but I really like this program. It's challenging at first to get all of your recipes in the system to calculate the point value but once you do its really simple to use. 

I weight 10 lbs more then I did last summer which da da da daaaaa !! Brings my current weight to 235. I weighed in this morning at 234.4 so not a huge loss but it's something. My week is not quite a week yet but i set my weigh in times for Friday because I am usually home in the mornings and its predictable. Often I will be at Mom's on Sundays which means a different scale. 

I don't know what it is about this program that makes me feel hopeful but I really am. For the first time in a very long time I am feeling like if this actually works I will be able to implement it in my life without changing and getting rid of too much and still be able to socialize and have fun over the holidays and other occasions. 

I am also afraid that weight loss and me are just not on the same page anymore and this attempt will be a bust..I have been able to get in the 'weight loss' zone successfully before and I have had some success again but never at the same magnitude. 
I am going to follow this plan and I really hope that the pounds will come off like clockwork as they did for me in the past. It's a formula to lose weight and I know I was not doing anything right the past 6 months and wasn't properly trying so now that I am... I'm confident change will come. 

It just feels so good to be part of a plan, I need that. For the longest time I have felt so desperate for a routine, for a system in my life because things have felt so chaotic and this is a little thing but in putting this plan in place it actually brings peace to so many areas of my life because everything doesn't feel so out of control. This is something I can control. 
I will keep you posted on progress ..probably only if it's good but there again is my doubtful ..expecting the worst mindset! Away with you!! I will have success!
