Sheridan Here I am.

This is it. I am back at Sheridan for my last year. I'm early, I was supposed to meet Daria for lunch before class but she opted out of coming today which I can't blame her ...The first week is always uneventful, nothing ever happens! So here I am back sitting in the It area killing time before my class starts. Integrated marketing communication management. So far I have only seen one person that I know..everyone else looks too young to be here! and no one I know. It will be interesting to see who came back for the third year.
I just got off the phone with Kyle, We were talking on our little lunch breaks. He was telling me that he had a crazy morning today going to work, He couldn't park at the Burlington GO this morning because someone in between Burlington and Oakville was killed on the tracks. Everyone was sent to ApplyBy Station and there were buses shuttling people to Oakville where they could catch the train to Toronto. They don't know how or why the person died, they either thought they could beat the train and tried to run across, were pushed on to the tracks or..wanted to end their life. Crazy morning and a horrible way to die. I will have to look at the news tonight to find out what happened.
Back to me sitting here.... I feel worlds away from the people around me, they seem so young and unaware of life. I'm 28 now! that is just mind boggling. My life is already established and it's good. I am really going to take this last year in and embrace it. This will be my last time as a student and I want to treasure every minute of this experience and enjoy it. I hope there's lots of parties and tons of fun events I can go to and all of that exciting last year of college stuff.
In other news Kyle and I spent a ton of time the other day investigating the U2 message boards to figure out the In's and outs of floor seating and get a plan mapped out. Kyle is going to go the night before the concert to see if anyone is camped out waiting and if they are we are going to have to join them! If not we'll be taking the GO train very early in the morning to make sure we get as close to the stage as we can. It's going to be one long day but we are only going to take the essentials and anything else like folding lawn chairs and rain parkas will be disposable so we can go to the concert without lugging anything with us.
Well I still have almost an hour but I'm going to go check out some things.
I will keep everyone posted on how school is going through out the week!
