Here goes my last 4 months at Sheridan.

It’s the Eve before school and all the lunches are packed for the week, veggie bags and all. Note books are sitting out. An outfit is laid out and the big purse is filled with essentials for school survival.

Yes..to my dismay school is back in session tomorrow. 8:00 am classes Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday. I think they are really trying to prepare us for an career by getting us up and ready to class early. This weekend was awesome, the perfect to finish off my 3 three weeks of blissfulness. I am excited to be back in school for my final semester. A lot of great things are going to happening this year such as year end Gala and Graduation as well as getting that diploma in hand and finally being a college graduate. Not only that but I will be an Advertising Executive. How cool is that? So that’s what I’m pondering tonight before I go escape into mindless shows like “The Secret Life of the American Teenager or the last two seasons of “Boy Meets World”.
This week I am going to attempt to stay within my 1500 calorie limit, I have a huge purse that Kyle bought for me for Christmas, it’s big enough to hold my lunch bag, which encloses my massive salad, 2 containers of dressing (1 for salad and 1 for veggies and dip) and it also is big enough that I can take my book that I write everything I eat in the day in. So I will be able to keep track, the key is to only eat the food I bring and not get any Ice Caps…because I love having those when I’m at school working on projects and tidbits’! I hope to work out 3 times this week and take time on my train rides to pray and read the bible, which come to think of it will also fit in my bag…although the small bible I do have is King James which isn’t the most thrilling so maybe I will have to wait on taking that until I have a small NIV version.

Highlights of the weekend, Hmmm let’s see. My dad’s sermon today was inspiring. It was called “Vital Signs” and how to read them. He shared a little about the life altering experience he had just been through and related it to our lives and how we can change our lives by taking little steps to improve. He made the analogy of him having to sit down while he brushed his teeth and shaved during his recovery but that he was determined to move on without letting the sickness overcome him. In our own lives we too can do this. Every day we can do something small even if it’s painful and challenging to move us in the right direction. Eventually we will get stronger and the tasks won’t seem so painful. I am going to incorporate this into my spiritual, emotional and physical life. Or at least try to0!
Friday and Saturday were a lot of fun for Kyle and I…well the whole week was but Friday we slept in (well Kyle did) and I spent the entire morning watch my T.V box sets. Anyway, we rented the movie “The Perfect Getaway” which is a really awesome thriller. It has this crazy twist we had to rewind a couple of times to figure out in the end but it was really good. We watched that while we ate our delicious fiesta night meal, Quesdia, Nachos and Guacamole. For some reason this time the Guac was out of this world amazing and good! We loved it…After that some unmentionable things happened! But let’s just say we enjoyed each other’s company. Oh…in the afternoon I cleaned the linen closet, which now looks amazing and also changed all the bedding and flipped the mattress which is also incredible! It’s amazing what you can accomplish when you have some time off.
Saturday was also a lot of fun, Kyle Slept in and we got an early start because we were heading to the falls for the afternoon. We had lunch at the mall…I love going to Jimmy the Greek and getting the chicken Pita. It’s only 350 calories and so delicious! After than on a whim I stopped in at the Fruits and Passions I no longer work at and I didn’t mind doing this since it’s owned by new management and no one I know works there. Anyway, I was completely and utterly in shock to see a HUGE 2 LTR JUG of FRUITS of the ISLANDS hand soap! It’s massive! And it was on for $24 bucks when it should be sold for $60! So I snatched that up with some shower gels. After heading to the falls we dropped off some laundry and then went straight to the states where I got 2 new shirts for only $4.00 and $10.00 because the GAP outlet is having some ridiculous sales which was awesome and we did some grocery shopping at Target. All that and we had a yummy dinner with mom and dad in the evening.
This week as been so much fun, I am sad that school is tomorrow but excited at the same time. I know it’s going to be a whirlwind but I should enjoy it because I will never get this feeling back and this is the end of schooling as I know it! Hopefully it will be a semester filled with lots of friends, parties and memorable presentations and experiences.
Kyle just went out to get us some Pita’s for a late dinner and we’ll probably watch a movie and go to bed pretty early tonight. I can’t wait to get into our freshly washed sheets…how awesome! Tomorrow I will be up at 5:15 am….I’m actually pretty excited.
What an awesome Christmas and holidays it was.
