Life in the Veggie Lane



So it is Thursday and Kyle and I have continued our fruit, veggie, meat diet this week, we are taking liberties, oil, cheeses and weekends off but still being more conscious ..I know that I feel a lot better and actually the food has been super yummy. Two of my fav dishes that we have had over the last 2 weeks are omelets with fresh fruit and greek salad with chicken breast..SO Delicious! Tonight we are going to a little home group party and were asked to make an entree so we made the yummy bow tie pasta inc..  Sherry wine, pine nut and prosciutto, chicken breast and cream! (Always a crowd pleaser!) So our healthy eating is on hold tonight. I think it's good to allow some indulgences that way you don't deprive yourself too much and end up over indulging. I have had one sweet treat after dinner, a 90 cal snickers little ice cream bar and it is the sweetest part of my night! I have been eating a ton of melon, Sobey's has orange cantaloup sliced in half with strawberries for $2.49 and I have that after my lunch which is usually chilli and I am really satisfied. 

I have not written to much lately, some of you may know that my back has been hurting, a have a disc in my lower tail bone that is out of sorts and I feel the pain when i sit as I am right now so I am going to have to end this! Looking forward to feeling better and writing more very soon!

Good for you guys - doing the veggies. It makes you feel so much better. You should try a fruit and spinach smoothie to add some extra veggies in! I use water, frozen berries or peaches, a handful of spinach and a banana - blend up and sooo yummy. No added sugar or anything!
